OUTSTANDING PROFESSORS & RESEARCHERS

Outstanding professors and researchers are included in the First Preference Category (EB-1) of employment based immigration to the U.S. The benefit of this category is that the foreign professor or researcher is exempted from the Labor Certification process.

To satisfy the requirements stipulated in the Immigration & Nationality Act (INA) section 203(b)(1)(B), the outstanding professor or researcher must:

• Be recognized internationally as outstanding in a specific academic area;
• Have three years experience in teaching or research in the academic area and
• Seeks entry for tenure (or tenure track) teaching position.
