The article warns that Mississippi's proposed bill will have similar economic impact as Alamaba's harsh immigration law: "According to Prof. Samuel Addy at the Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Alabama, Alabama's HB 56 could shrink Alabama's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by up to $10.8 billion".
